Clarence Seifried, 85, of Sterling, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. The Rev. David Baines will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Seifried was born Dec. 16, 1923, in New Raymer, to Fred and Alvina Rebecca (Lantz) Seifried. He graduated from high school.
He farmed in the New Raymer and Fleming areas until moving to Sterling in 1986.

He married Frances Bain Denney on May 3, 1981, at the Chapel of the Plains in Stoneham.
He was a member of New Beginnings Outreach.

Mr. Seifried is survived by his wife, Frances E. Seifried, of Sterling; sons, Rodger Denney of Salt Lake City, Utah, Phillip Denney of Independence, Mo., Deryl Denney of Sweet Springs, Mo., Woodrow Denney of Little Rock, Ark., Lowell Denney of Macon, Mo., and David Denney of Sterling; brother, Harvey Seifried of Sterling; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
