Clara Ring, 98, of Castle Rock, formerly of Sterling, passed away Jan. 9, 2014, in Brighton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 14 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. The Rev. James R. Nash will officiate. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Clara was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Sterling to Fred and Julie (Turkel) Karp.

She married Edward A. Ring April 3, 1938, in Sterling. Ed passed away in 1973.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Clara is survived by her sister, Linda Lazzaretti of Sterling; granddaughters, Leanne Rowell and husband Steve of Castle Rock, Tina Chapman and husband Michael of Canon City, Tracy Anderson of Canon City; grandson, Timothy Kuehl and wife Gwen of Murray, Utah; 15 great grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Priscilla D. Kuehl; brothers, Alex Karp, Edward Karp, Fred Karp; sisters, Elizabeth Lauck, Alma Overly and Mary Ogle.
