Clara Belle Jelniker, 80 of Greeley, formerly of Sterling, passed away Sat., Sept. 26, 2015 in Greeley. Visitation 10am until 4pm, Wed., Sept. 30 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home in Sterling. Graveside service will be 11am Thurs., Oct. 1, 2015 at Eaton Cemetery, Eaton, CO.
Clara was born March 20, 1935 in Greeley to Charles and Blanche Belle McCaul Parsons. She grew up in theLaSalle area. Clara graduated from Greeley High School.
She married Edward Roy Jelniker in Greeley on April 7, 1956. They moved to Loveland in 1956, moved to Greeley in 1961 before moving to Sterling in 1965. Clara worked for Miller Western Wear until her retirement. She loved bowling, making crafts, gardening, and loved her animals and being with her family.
Clara was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Red Hat Club and the Order of the Does.
She is survived by her daughters Sharon Helms and husband Bill of Ft. Morgan, CO, Elizabeth Pings and husband Keith of Thornton, CO and Mary Jelniker of Greeley; sister Blanche Brandt of Greeley; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Roy Jelniker on 2009.
