Cipriano "Tony" Hernandez, 82 of Sterling passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m., December 11 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. with Father Herman Nsubuga as officiant. Tony will be laid to rest following the memorial at Riverside Cemetery.

Tony was born on April 20, 1938 in Laredo, Texas to Juan and Jesusa (Herrera) Hernandez. Tony enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and he retired after 22 years of service as an inventory management supervisor. He married Genevieve "Ginny" Dallery on February 7, 1959 in Etain, France. Tony was a longtime member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Genevieve, 2 sisters and 1 granddaughter.

Tony is survived by his two daughters Jessie Herrera and husband Joseph and Helene Christner and husband George; son Micky Hernandez and wife Tina; grandchildren Monic Christner, Nathalie (Terran) Weis, Christopher Herrera, Joseph Herrera, Michael (Joe) Villasenor; great-grandchildren Josiah Herrera, Michael Weis, Monic Weis, Meara Weis and Makara Weis, and brothers Arturo Hernandez and Johnny (Rosie) Hernandez.
