Charles Roger Severance, 70, of Sterling passed away May 22, 2014 in Sterling. Private family service to be held.
Charles was born April 1, 1944 in Vancouver, WA to Charles Andrew and Lenore M. (Jones) Severance. He was raised in the Atwood and Merino area and lived in Sterling.
He married Shirley Anne Owens.
He worked for 30 + years at the beef plant until it closed. He then worked at Wisdom's and ended his working years at the City of Sterling, retiring in 2009.
He enjoyed gardening and in earlier years fishing and softball. He was a member of the Elks for several years.
Charles is survived by his mother, Lenore Severance of Merino; daughter Jill Johnson and husband Tom of Sterling and their sons Brendan and Brason; sisters, Laurina Cullip of Sterling, Marilyn Myers and husband Bob of Sterling; Kathleen Severance and husband George Medaris of Canon City, CO; sister-in-law, Sally Schott and husband Don of Sterling; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by father, Charles Severance in January 1988.
