Charles "Chuck" Ira Davis, 70, entered into eternal peace on September 1, 2014, at the Mesa Banner Gardens Hospice Home in Mesa, Arizona.
Chuck was born on August 15, 1944, in Sterling, Colorado, a son of the late Sidney and Wilma Davis. He graduated from Crook High School in 1962, and then from Colorado State University in 1966, where he also obtained his Master's Degree in Engineering. Chuck went on to obtain his Doctorate Degree in Engineering from the University of Wyoming in 1973 before moving to Minnesota with his wife Jean and children Jill, Michael, Mark and newborn Jennifer.
Chuck spent the next few decades working for a number of technology companies in Research and Development before owning his own business with his wife and son Michael in Greeley, Colorado and then retiring to Gilbert, Arizona.
Chuck married Jean Nelson, also from Crook, Colorado, in June 1963 and together they lived and traveled all over the United States. Chuck spent over 13 years of his life ministering to prisoners touching the lives of so many in the process. His sense of humor was well known as was his intelligence and leadership by which he managed people in his career.
Chuck leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his caring wife Jean of Gilbert, Arizona; loving children Jill and her husband Robert Howard of Delaware, Ohio; Michael Davis and his wife Debra of Maricopa, Arizona; Mark Davis and his wife Kimberly of Springboro, Ohio; Jennifer and her husband John Smith of North Las Vegas, Nevada; sister Betty Jo and her husband Gary Carwin of Greeley, Colorado; grandchildren Natalie, Hannah, Moriah, Bethany, Nathan and Kenny Howard, Ashley Davis, Sydney, Kaeley, and Hunter Smith; and many other loving brother and sister's in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held Friday, Sept. 5, at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church, Sterling, Colorado at 915 S.8th Ave. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery followed by a reception at the First Baptist Church. Friends and relatives are invited and may call at the Chaney-Reager Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
