Charles William Blehschmidt, 68 peacefully joined our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 after a long and tiring battle.

Charles was born in Denver on October 4, 1950 and was adopted by Esther and Burton Blehschmidt of Sterling, CO. He married Trea Burham August 26, 1972 and they welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world: Jennifer Lynne and Heather Elaine. Charles was a skilled carpenter and his passions in life were his daughters, grandchildren, gardening, painting and hiking.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, step-sister, all grandparents and his fur babies.

Charles is survived by his eldest daughter, Jennifer Lynne (Terry) Thompson and her children (Lucas and Arora) of Sterling, CO; and youngest daughter, Heather Elaine (Levi) Willis and her children (Ciera and Justin) of Arcadia, UT.

Services for Charles will be held later this spring (per Charles' request). Please contact Heather or Jennifer with any inquiries. Our dad would not want you to spend money on flowers that will die, so in lieu of such, please…purchase a plant for your home or yard instead and think of him when you gaze upon it.
