Cecilia Marie Prevost Martin, 68 of Peetz, CO was surrounded by her family when she went to her heavenly home on June 1, 2023, after a 15-year battle with cancer. Her faith, strength and courage were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Cecilia always had a smile on her face.

Cecilia was the daughter of Joe Prevost & Frances Schmitz Prevost, and was born on December 27, 1954, in Sidney, MT. She joined one brother Johnny Joe and one sister Mary Frances. She was raised on a farm East of Lambert, MT. She graduated from Lambert High School in 1973. Following graduation, she apprenticed in taxidermy in Western Montana earning her taxidermist license. She returned to her hometown of Lambert where she started and enjoyed her own taxidermy business.
On August 2, 1980, Cecilia married Kevin Lee Martin at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Lambert, MT. They had one child, Shauna. In 1982, they moved to Sterling, CO where they owned and operated a small motel for twenty years. Cecilia loved visiting with all the guests, and many became lifelong friends. It wasn't uncommon for a new face to be sitting at their supper table as Cecilia never knew a stranger. Her generosity and kindness radiated in every area of her life.
The most important thing in her life was her love for God. Her unwavering faith, even with all her tribulations never ceased. She enjoyed crafts, especially cross stitch where she made it her passion to stitch beautiful pieces of art for many family members and friends. There was love in every stitch! She was a hard worker and a wonderful cook. Her family, especially her grandchildren, the three P's (Parker, Preston & Paislee) were the light of her life. In later years it was difficult for her to leave the house, but she cherished all the visits from family & friends. Her kindness to others and loving heart will never be forgotten.
