Carolyn Kay Harley-Brooks, 80 of Sterling, CO passed away Sunday February 2, 2025. Viewing will be held from 4-5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9, at Halouska Family Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, February 10, followed by a Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with The Very Reverend Michael Bodzioch as celebrant. Inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

Carolyn was born September 1, 1944, in Sterling, Colorado to Harold G. and Kathareen M. (Pedroni) Harley. Carolyn graduated from Sterling High School and then attended Northeastern Junior College and University of Northern Colorado where she completed her bachelor's degree.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Robert and Don Harley; sisters Joyce Wilcox, Jean Harley and Pamela Harley and her granddaughter Kristen Kelley.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters Andrea (Mike) Wasson of Sterling, CO and Deidre (Brett) Lauer of McCook, NE; son Stanley (Sky) Brooks of Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren Garrett (Alia) Schumacher of Loveland, CO, Brittany Hoffmann, Bradley (Erica) Hoffmann, Brandon Hoffmann all of McCook, NE and Brenna Johannsen of Bartley, NE; great grandsons Maverick Hoffmann and Waylen Hoffmann both of McCook, NE; sisters Ann Studer of Davis, CA and Lynn (Tom) Cassidy of La Jolla, CA; brother James (Joan) Harley of Medford, NJ and her sister-in-law Emma Harley of Austin, TX.

The family requests that no flowers or plants be sent and that donations may be made in Carolyn's memory to Hospice of the Plains, 302 N. 9th Ave., Sterling, CO 80751.
