Carol Maxine Howell, 93 of Ovid, passed away Mon, Feb. 9, 2015 in Ovid. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Ovid United Methodist Church with service concluding at the church.
Inurnment for the Howells will be at Loveland Burial Park in Loveland, CO.

Carol was born Jan. 18, 1922 in Campbell, Nebraska to William R. and Margaret A. Nicholson Hollander. She was a homemaker and business manager of two service stations while living in Reno and Indian Springs, Nevada.

Carol married Harry Evans Howell on May 16, 1940 in a double ceremony with DeVona and Harlan Cavender at Kimball, Nebraska. They were lifelong friends.

She was a member and past president of the United Methodist Women's Club and the Ovid Women's Club. She had a flair for clothing design and tailored clothing for her and her daughter. She and Harry loved to travel while in retirement.

Carol is survived by her daughter Anastassia of Ovid, CO; grandson Vance J. Robison of Sun Valley, NV and Kent A. Robison of Las Vegas, NV; and great grandson Ryan V. Robison of Sun Valley, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry Howell in 2007, daughter Mary Ellen Howell, sisters Irene Merle Matney, Laura Dell Ohmie and Eva Almira Johnston and brother Raymond William Hollander.
