Carol Ann Gemaehlich, 68 of Sterling passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018. Visitation will be from 10 am - 6 pm, Wednesday, October 10 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 4 pm - 6 pm. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, October 11 at the Sterling Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bill Couchenour and Pastor Dee Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Carol was born March 14, 1950 in Sterling, Colorado to Roy R. and Lela Belle (County) Cullip. She graduated from Sterling High School. Carol married Arnold Gemaehlich on November 20, 1970 at the Sterling Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crocheting, making afghan blankets, traveling, cooking and spending time with her family. After the children grew up, Carol enjoyed spending her time baking. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene and LIFT.

Carol is survived by her three sons, Allen Gemaehlich and wife Tammy of Grand Junction, CO, Curtis Gemaehlich and wife Jennifer of Thornton, CO and Brian Gemaehlich and wife Erin of Sterling, CO; three sisters, Mabel Lasley of Longmont, CO, Bev Ellsworth and husband Les of Sterling, CO, and Melody Shepherd and husband Jerry of Ogden, UT; two brothers, Don Cullip and wife Linda of Akron, CO and Jerry Cullip and wife Pam of Sterling, CO; seven grandchildren, Jon, and Kevin Fitzpatrick and wife Lacie, Adam, Emily, Conner, Samantha and Alyssa Gemaehlich; great grandson Krosby Fitzpatrick and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lela; husband Arnold; son Charles Gemaehlich and brother Arthur "Art" Cullip.
