Obituary
Bryon "Bucky" Segelke, 47, of Sterling, passed away June 24, 2013, in Peetz. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Chaplain Deb Neal officiating. Inurnment will be at Peetz Cemetery.
Bryon was born Feb. 14, 1966, in Sidney, Neb., to Larry Allen and Patricia Joan (Meyer) Segelke. He graduated from Peetz High School in 1984.
He was in the construction business as a drywaller for S&S Drywall.
Bryon was a member of the American Legion Riders and an avid motorcyclist. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He gave back to the community, serving with different organizations such as Toys of Tots, Special Olympics and helping with the soup kitchen at Thanksgiving.
He is survived by his father, Larry Segelke and Judy Sandoval of Sterling; mother, Pat Segelke of Peetz; sisters, Lavon Wills and Johnny Hajek of Sidney, Jolynn Segelke and Steve Wilshusen of Hastings, Neb.; brothers, David Segelke and wife Wendy of Tooele, Utah, Greg Segelke and wife Heather of Sidney, Jerry Sandoval and Erin Schmitz of Sterling; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Plains.
