Bruce James McMahon 86, of Sterling passed away Wednesday November 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Bruce was born July 8, 1938, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Daniel McMahon and Ruby (McCoy) McMahon. He graduated from Fort Collins High School. Bruce started his restaurant entrepreneurship career and opened many restaurants throughout his time. He also worked in the grocery sales as part of Shamrock Foods. Bruce married Lynda L. Smith, and they later divorced. Bruce then married Eileen Ann Foutch, and she passed away in May 2011.

Bruce was a believer in second, sometimes even third chances and he believed that for the most part everybody was good. He never failed to take the downtrodden and gave them a chance to come up, taking many under his wing over the years. He was honest to a fault, loving, caring and right there in a flash whenever he was needed, with no questions or judgment just here was what you need to do.

He has a special way of making you feel safe and that it would indeed all be good. And that you were special. Bruce had more love to give to anyone expecting nothing in return but for everyone to do well. Bruce loved being around people and just shooting the bull. Bruce loved "The Duke", (John Wayne) and had a smile at any mention of his idol.

Bruce most of all wouldn't want anyone to be sad at his passing. He can now hear and though the angels came for him, Eileen likely pushed through to take his hand and show him around.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Eileen, son John and brother Michael.

Bruce is survived his children Kent B. (Wendy) McMahon, Scott McMahon, and Kathleen "Kate" McMahon, daughter-in-law Suzanne McMahon; grandchildren Nicole, Trevor, Jennifer, Kyle, Andrea, Sidney, Erika, Coby (Vanessa), and Clifford McMahon; great grandchildren Molly, Alissa, Dawson, Arianna, Arion, Mallory, Maverick, and Remington, Julian, Kamryn, Enzo, Jaxon and stepchildren Stephanie, Zach, and Alex McMahon.
