Brenda Kay Taylor, 58 of Sterling, CO passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 22, 2024, in Greeley, CO. A celebration of life picnic will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Pioneer Park in Sterling.

Brenda was born February 10, 1966, in Sterling, Colorado to Rachel Mae Applegarth. Brenda worked at Walmart for over 16 years. She was married to Ivan Taylor, and they later divorced. Brenda was devoted to her grandbabies and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

She is preceded in death by her mother Rachel Applegarth–Smith Smotherman, stepfather Earl Smith, daughter Terri Taylor; brothers Dwayne Fletcher and Earl Fletcher and sisters Shirley Campell, Rita Buss, and Roberta Dietz.

Brenda is survived by her sons Troy Taylor of Sterling, CO, Chris (Lorry Dykes) Taylor of South Dakota and Devin (Sierra Speaker) Taylor of Sterling, CO; sisters Debra (Dee) Bowen and Jerre Fletcher; grandchildren Parker, Jayson, Lylah, Lukas, Kolten, Dakota, Aiden, and Gwendolyn and many friends.
