Brenda L. Ertle, 49 of Sterling passed away Monday, September 17, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John E. Roberts officiating. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Brenda was born September 24, 1968 in Sidney, Nebraska to Rodney and Sharon L. (Taylor) DeKruif. She graduated from Ft. Collins High School in 1986 and attended Business College in Ft. Collins. She married William "Bill" Ertle on April 6, 2008 in Sterling. Brenda enjoyed playing the piano and sewing. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and her three dogs.

She is preceded in death by her step-son, Andrew Ertle and her four aunts, Mary, Doris, Joanne and Margaret.

Brenda is survived by her husband Bill; two daughters, Amanda Clary and husband David and Brittney DeKruif and fiancé Chris Shephard; step-son Michael Ertle and wife Tawnya; 10 grandchildren; sister Debbie Chase and husband Robin and numerous other relatives.
