Brandon T. "Boo" Cartwright, 42 of Sterling, CO passed away Mon., Aug. 8, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be 11am-4pm, Mon., Aug. 15 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:30am Tues., Aug. 16 at the Dorothy Corsberg Theater at NJC in Sterling with Rev. Brian Kroeger and Rev. Derek DeToni-Hill officiating. A live feed viewing of the service will be at 11:30am CST at the Hoisington High School Auditorium. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Brandon was born Feb. 22, 1974 in Hoisington, Kansas to Booker T. and Marcia L. Guliford Cartwright. He graduated from Hoisington High School in 1992. Brandon was drafted by the Oakland A's out of high school but decided to attend Barton County Community College instead to pursue his Associates Degree. He continued to play baseball in college.

He worked in the telecommunications industry, working on cell phone towers for the past ten years. Brandon married Mistee K. Simms on July 24, 1999 in Hoisington, Kansas.

He loved playing music especially the drums and trombone. Brandon also enjoyed playing softball, pool and foosball.

Brandon is survived by his wife Mistee Cartwright; daughters Jossie Cartwright and Trennary Cartwright all of Sterling, CO; sisters Dradeana K. Cartwright of Great Bend, KS, Shalaya Watson of Houston, TX, Salima Watson of Wilmington, DE, Shalonda Watson of Houston, TX and Rashawnda Row and husband John of Dallas, TX; brothers Braylan T. Cartwright and wife Keri of Russell, KS, Barrian T. Cartwright of Oklahoma and Derreck Tucker-Khoury of Marietta, GA; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
