Bonnie Lee Knudson, 84, of Sterling, passed away Nov. 20, 2012, in Sterling. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with the Rev. John E. Roberts officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Bonnie was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Eufaula, Okla., to Delbert Marcus and Ola Irene (Edwards) Pierce. She graduated from high school.
She was the daughter of the Dust Bowl era. The family moved from Oklahoma to California during the Dust Bowl, moved back to Oklahoma and then to Colorado with the oil business. In 1952, she moved to Sterling from Prague.
On Aug. 25, 1964, she married Lowell Wayne Knudson in Brighton.
She was the bookkeeper for her husband's oil business company.
Bonnie was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and knitting.
She is survived by her husband, Lowell W. Knudson of Sterling; daughters, Dianna Jean Willmon of Sterling and Jitana Kathleen Schaefer of Pensacola, Fla.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clarence Marcus Willmon; two brothers; and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Billy Graham Association.
