Blanche M. Hoselton, 63, a long-time resident of Sterling, peacefully parted our lives to join her father and go home to her creator on Jan. 4, 2010, in Loveland. Our hearts are comforted that Blanche was lovingly surrounded by her devoted husband and very dear friends, Pat and Rich, as she embarked on her journey home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home.
The memorial service will be officiated by her son-in-law, Mark Orler.
Originally from Killdeer, N.D., Blanche was born on Oct. 11, 1946, to Pete Stroh and Margaret Steffan. Along with seven siblings, Blanche grew up working hard on the family farm in Killdeer, where she graduated Blanche M. Hoselton from high school in 1965. Her lively and outgoing personality allowed her to be an active member of her high school Chorus, FHA, and Pep Clubs.
Following graduation from high school, Blanche continued to work hard and blossomed into a wonderful woman who excelled in the work force, more particularly in the hospitality industry, before becoming a fulltime homemaker.
Her outspoken personality led her to David R. Hoselton. They were joined together in marriage on Oct. 11, 1974, and proceded to rear three beautiful children. The family resided in North Dakota and Montana before moving to Sterling in 1984.
Blanche is survived by her mother, Margaret and husband Jim; her husband, David; her children, Jeff and wife Kelley, Leann and husband Sean, Kimberly and husband Mark; her four granddaughters, Dakota, Cheyenne, Marie and Salome; her siblings, Emanuel, Carol, Dianne, Vernetta, Lu, Ethel and their families; her husband's siblings, Lorraine, Loretta, Norm, Louise and their families.
Blanche was preceded in death by her brother, Dwayne; and her father, Pete and wife Helen; her father-in-law, Roland; and mother-in-law, Ana Jeanne.
Blanche was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. In her love for others and their well-being, Blanche hoped to contribute to the advancement of medical science, and perhaps add something to the sum total of human welfare and happiness after her death. It is with great honor that her legacy will continue with her contribution of her body to Science Care.
Contributions may be made to the Blanche Hoselton Memorial.
