Betty Lorraine Bock, 75, of Sterling, passed away March 9, 2014, in Sterling. A Celebration of Life service will be at 3 p.m. Thurday, March 13, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with services concluding at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Betty was born Dec. 31, 1938, in Sterling to Clifford Glen and Evelyn Pearl (Mason) Simmerman. She was a lifetime area resident and attended Sauders and Padroni Schools.
Betty worked at G.W. Sugar from 1976 until 1985 as the factory manager's clerk, then went to work at Leon Larson Motors as bookkeeper and secretary from 1985 until she retired.
On Jan. 3, 1955, she married Harold A. Bock in Padroni.
She is survived by her son, Allen Bock and wife Kimberly of Lincoln, Neb.; daughter, Peggy Robinson and husband Scott of Nixa, Mo.; other family members, Harold Scheck of Sterling, Trina Magnusson and husband Tom of Sterling, and Candice Magnusson and Dallas Magnusson; best companions, Annie and Sammie; grandchildren, Callie Kacvinsky and husband Carl of Lincoln, Neb., Emily Bock of Lincoln, Daniel Bock of Lincoln, Kyle Robinson of Tucson, Ariz., and Alek Robinson of Nixa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bock on Nov. 26, 1985; sister, Ruth Cuthbert; and son, Darrell Bock.
