Bernice Lydia Schledwitz, 82, formerly of Sterling passed away Thursday September 28, 2017 at her home in Windsor, CO. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tues., Oct. 3 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Rev. James R. Nash officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Bernice was born March 30, 1935 in Sterling, CO to Gottlieb and Lydia (Albrandt) Niesen. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward, Raymond and Richard Niesen; and sisters, Elnora Schilling and Rose Marie Niesen.

Bernice is survived by her son, Dale Schledwitz of Sterling; daughter, Karen (Brion) Villwock of Roanoke, IN; sisters, Florence Fahlstedt of Sequim, WA and Carolyn (Paul) Kerschner of Merino, CO; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
