Obituary
Barbara Jean Lucas, 66 of Sterling, passed away Sat., Jan. 23, 2016 in Sterling. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Fri., Jan. 29 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with services concluding at the funeral home.
Barbara was born Feb. 22, 1949 in Colorado Springs, CO to Francis Paul and Josephine Bertha Miller Capps. She graduated from high school. Barbara moved to Sterling in 1982 from Limon, CO. She was a cook at RE-1 School District and also at the Sterling Living Center.
Barbara is survived by daughters Wendy Lucas of Randolph, NJ, Dianna Loos of Broomfield, CO, Becky Williams and husband Lance of Fleming, CO; sons Frank Lucas and wife Candice of Cheyenne, WY and Jeffery Lucas and wife Doris of Basehor, KS; sister Martha Muehl of Colorado Springs, CO and brothers John Capps of Sterling, CO and Bert Capps of Las Vegas, NV; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Julia and seven brothers and sisters.
