Obituary
Barbara Jean Horner, 65 of Sterling, passed away Sat., Oct. 31, 2015 in Sterling. Memorial service to be held 11:00 a.m., Thurs., Nov. 5, 2015 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Jared Sonnenberg officiating and services concluding at the church.
Barbara was born Oct. 4, 1950 in Sterling, CO to Denzel and Edna Junker Harris. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1969 and continued her education for another year.
She married Jim Horner on May 29, 1969 in Sterling. Barb owned and operated the Journal Office Supply and managed the Journal Gift Shop. She enjoyed gardening, loved her dogs and spending time with her grandchildren.
Barb is survived by her husband Jim Horner; daughter Robin Eckman and husband Robert, grandson Treycen Eckman and granddaughter Rylie Eckman; and sister Carolyn Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents Denzel and Edna Harris, sister Patricia Painter and mother-in-law Joan Horner.
