Barbara Viola (Miller) Haines, 73, of Sterling passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 am., Monday, November 8, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. with The Very Reverend Michael Bodzioch as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Riverside cemetery.
Barbara was born January 8, 1948, to Jeff and Agnes (Stramel) Miller in Topeka, Kansas. She attended school in Topeka, KS and attended college at KUNC, Practical (Nursing LPN).
She married Neil Allen Haines on November 25, 1978 in Denver, CO. Barbara worked as an LPN at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver for 10 years and at Sterling Living Center for 8 yrs.
She was a member of St. Mark's Archbishop Guild in Denver and St. Anthony's Legion of Mary in Sterling. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling, reading and watching the Colorado Rockies play.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ron Miller and son Joseph Haines.
Barbara is survived by her husband Neil Haines; son Benjamin Haines; daughter Mary Lee; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild all of Sterling.
