Autumn Dawn James, 65, of Sterling, CO passed away Monday, August 25, 2025. She will be laid to rest with military honors at 10:15 a.m., on Monday, September 22 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area B.

A celebration of Autumn's life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 22 at Cross Roads Community Church, 10451 Huron St., Northglenn, CO 80234 and from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27 at Knights of Columbus Hall, 421 S. 11th Ave. Sterling, CO.

Autumn was born May 26, 1960, in Denver, CO to Richard Nixon Marosey and Bettie Lee Klein. She graduated from Northglenn High School on May 5, 1978. Autumn served in the U.S. Army as a unit supply specialist and earned the rank of PFC. After being honorably discharged, she worked as a housekeeper at the Hyatt Place in Colorado Springs for 3 years.

Autumn married Rodger M. James in 1988 at Cross Roads Community Church in Northglenn, CO. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and USBC (bowling). She enjoyed playing bingo, spades, bowling, online games and monthly trips to Central City. She loved bargain shopping and was a very supportive military wife.

She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Bettie.

Autumn is survived by her husband Rodger James of Sterling; sons Nigel James of Sterling, CO and Nathaniel James of Aurora, CO; granddaughter Kahylani Langridge of Sterling, CO and grandson Nigel James Jr. of Longmont, CO; brother Richard Marosey of Northglenn, CO and sister Melody Casper of Wheatridge, CO.
