Ashley Lynn Mendez, 22 of Sterling passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of life will be held for Ashley at 10:00am, Saturday, May 6 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 36980 Weld County Road, Eaton, CO 80615. The service will conclude at the church.

Ashley was born on August 3, 1994 in Sterling, Colorado to Sunnie Stewart. She graduated from the Greeley Central High School and was attending classes at NJC in Sterling. She loved baking, coloring, reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother, Sunnie Stewart of Ault, CO; Step-father Jesse Runyon; sisters, Amanda Mendez of Sterling, CO, Hailey Partlow of Ault, CO; brother Brenden Partlow; brother-in-law Nate Klein of Sterling, CO; grandmother Terry Stewart of Eaton, CO; Uncle & Aunt, Mike and Jimi Ruf of Sterling, CO; Uncle & Aunt Matthew and Kristen Stewart; cousins Ryan Ruf of Sterling, CO and Carson and Addy Stewart of Laramie, WY.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim Stewart; great grandmothers Janice Koenig and Kathryn Heimbegner.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ashley Mendez Memorial Fund in care of Sunnie Stewart, 353 Linden Oaks Drive, Ault, CO 80610 to help make cancer bags to hand out at the Children's Hospital.
