Obituary
Arthur Eugene Richards, 82, of Walnut Creek, Calif., passed away Jan. 31, 2014, in California. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arthur was born Nov. 22, 1931, in Denver to Arthur L. and Lula E. (Masters) Richards. He graduated from St. Anthony School, and continued his education for a year at Northeastern Junior College and three years at the University of California.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to his discharge in 1954. Arthur was a deputy for social security administration in California.
He was a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He enjoyed going to operas and anything musical.
Arthur is survived by his sister, Patricia Vedsted and husband Jack of Sterling; nephews, James Vedsted and wife Debbie of Sterling, Vic Vedsted and wife Cindy of Gillette, Wyo.; very good friends, Tony and Dan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lula Richards; four aunts; and one uncle.
Chaney-Reager Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
