Antonio "Anthony" Guerrero Acosta, 25 of Greeley passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 in Denver. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m., Wed., Jan 11 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thurs. Jan. 12 at the Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Jodie Harless officiating. Inurnment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Anthony was born May 4, 1991 in Ft. Morgan to Cruz R. Rodriguez, Jr. and Patricia Acosta. He graduated from Sterling High School in 2009. He attended college at the Southeast Community College in Lincoln where he obtained an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. He was known for picking on his family and friends and loved wrestling. He was a mentor to many kids teaching them the basics of wrestling. He enjoyed watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Denver Broncos play football.
Anthony is survived by his father Cruz Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Lincoln, NE; mother Patricia Terrazas and husband Jose of Sterling; siblings, Adrian, Le'Tia, Amos, Leah, Breanna, and Stephen; grandmothers Carmen Acosta and Francis Rodriguez; Grandfather Guerrero Acosta; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by Grandfather Cruz Rodriguez, Sr., Uncle Jose Fuentes and Aunt Donna Marie Mendez.
