Anna Elizabeth 'Beth' Miller, 96 of Sterling, passed away Wed., Nov. 26, 2014 in Sterling. Visitation will be 10am-4pm, Thurs., Dec. 4 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home and at 10am Fri., Dec. 5 at First English Lutheran Church with funeral services to start at 10:30am at the church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Anna Elizabeth 'Beth' Miller was born on June 3rd, 1918, to Allen and Essie (Smith) Gidley in Council Bluffs, Iowa. After graduating from high school she worked as a commercial artist in Omaha for a direct mail business and later for an advertising agency.
In 1944, she married Harry Bromberg, who died in 1945. In 1949 she married Uline C. 'Pete' Miller in Council Bluffs. They moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado, then to Sterling in 1951.
She was a member of First English Lutheran Church and was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She made many banners for the church and helped make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Her hobbies were reading, stained glass projects and bridge.
She is survived by her three sons Mark and wife Bobbie of Evans, Alan and wife Kathy of Bennett and Nicolas and wife Heidi of Dublin, California; her sister Marjorie and five nieces, all of Arizona, and two grandsons, Daniel, and Grant and wife Erika of Littleton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert, and her husband, Pete, who died in 1978.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First English Lutheran Church, or to a charity of choice.
