Anna Mae Bauer, 69, of Sterling, died Nov. 3, 2007, in Sterling. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at First Presbyterian Church in Sterling with the Rev. Michelle D. Witherspoon officiating, and services concluding at the church.
A memorial service will also be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center with the Revs. Leonard Goering and James Byers officiating. Private family inurnment will be at Clay Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Bauer was born May 31, 1938, in Clay Center, Kan., to Gustaf and June Anna (Johnson) Lyon. She graduated from Clay Center High School.
On May 13, 1961, she married Gene Bauer in Clay Center. They were married fro 46 years.
Mrs. Bauer is survived by her husband, Gene Bauer of Sterling; daughters, Amy Gepner and husband Scott of Wichita, Kan., and Meg Adams and husband Brian of Abilene, Kan.; four grandchildren, Jonathan and Adam Gepner, and Taylor and Paige Adams; brother, Lavern Lyon and wife Elaine of Salina, Kan.; sister-in-law, Jean Lyon of Salina; and mother-in-law, Irene Bauer of Clay Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, June and Gustaf Lyon; brothers, Ronald Lyon and Alden Lyon; and sister, Elaine Reed.
