Ann Elizabeth Ertle, 94, of Sterling, passed away Nov. 2, 2012, in Sterling. A Celebration of Eternal Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at First Foursquare Church, with Denny Ertle and the Rev. John E. Roberts officiating. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Ann was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Iliff to John and Catherine (Dillie) Gerk. She was a lifetime area resident.
On Nov. 25, 1937, she married Glen P. Ertle in Iliff. Glen passed away in 1985.
Ann was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking and volunteering at First Baptist Church Bible studies and prayer groups. Sunday was her favorite day of the week; she enjoyed church and family meals. Ann enjoyed watching the Broncos and Rockies games.
She is survived by her children, Glenda Castle of Sterling, Jerry Ertle and wife DeeAnn of Fort Collins, Mary Glassburn of Sterling, Larry Ertle of Sterling, Glenn Ertle and wife Pam of Sterling, Paulette McCoy of Sterling, Bill Ertle and wife Brenda of Sterling, Diane Young of Sterling, Allen Ertle of Sterling, Kenny Ertle of Sterling, Denny Ertle and wife Lynn of Moffat, Rick Ertle of Denver, Ron Ertle and wife Alexes of Sterling and Bob Ertle and wife Sandi of Sterling; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Stacy McClain; daughter-in-law, Rita Ertle; brothers, Edward Gerk and Albert Gerk; sisters, Mary Kaiser, Betty Klug and Delores Klug.
