Obituary
Alberta Mae Souders, 86, of Sterling, passed away March 14 in Sterling. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at Living Word Church of God with services concluding at the church and Pastor Bob Bailey officiating.
Alberta was born in Sterling on May 26, 1926 to Margaret Ada Tatum and Russel James Franklin. She was a lifelong Sterling resident, and she married Cecil Ermit Souders in Sterling on May 2, 1947.
She is survived by sons Cecil Edward Souders and wife Helen, of Sterling and Dennis Souders and wife Jean, of Nickerson, Kan.; daughter Louise Jones of Sterling; sister Blanche McKinney of Aurora; and five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by husband Cecil Souders in 2008, son David Souders and grandson Scott Souders.
Memorials may be made to VFW Ladies Auxiliary or the Sterling Fire Department. Chaney-Reager Funeral Home in Sterling handled the arrangements.
