Ada Dell Horner, 83, of Sterling, passed away March 5, 2013, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Zion Congregational Church, with Pastor Brian Witherspoon officiating. Interment will be at Fleming Cemetery.
Ada was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Loop City, Neb., to Leland and Beulah (Evans) Zigler.
On Aug. 19, 1946, she married Clarence Horner in St. Francis, Kan.
She was a member of Zion Congregational Church. She enjoyed gardening and especially raising various types of roses. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and her family.
Ada is survived by her daughter, Pat Jernberg and husband Keith of LaJunta; sons, Butch Horner and wife Holly of Greeley, John Horner and wife Carol of Sterling; brother, George Zigler of Sterling; sisters, Betty Uber of Haxtun, Darlene Grauberger of Sterling, Shirley Grauberger of Sterling; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clarence Horner in 2001.
Memorials may be made to Zion Congregational Church.
